The Winter King, or maybe the horned God, the Yule King appearing on Winter Solistice amidst a snowy forest.

I wanted to show even in the darkness (winter, deep in the forest) there is hope and light. And the sky is blue above through the magic of the light.

Now is coldness, there is ice & snow,
so much darkness, everything looks dead,
but behold, Beloved, raise your head
look up there is the sun, brilliant aglow,

gaining strength, reborn on the Yule Night,
soon Nature will be reborn too, fertile
and ready for bearing fruit in a while.
So be strong until at Beltane we reunite

Thanks for each and every +fav. I have come to a point where it gets impossible to thank for all the faves personally.
Though I feel a little guilty, I rather take the time to create new art you hopefully will enjoy and which hopefully will inspire
you, give you a smile at the right time, and work on my Project AWW, helping the true Angels get recognised for their
kindness, than being continuously 1000+ messages behind.
Be assured I am really and deeply grateful for every single fave and I will continue to answer any comment given.

What a wondrous artwork this is, definitely has that "it" factor.

Your choice colours are appropriate and that little sparkling thing on the King's antlers definitely helps me appreciate the genre that this art falls on.

Unfortunately whilst your concept, choice of material is nice... it is your editing that is bad. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p…" width="37" height="22" alt=":pc:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="167" title="Personal Computer"/>

From a distance (thumbnail size), this art does not ooze with mystical feel to it and that background is extremely distracting. The very first thing that I saw were the trees before the glow-ish, sparkling thing.

It would have been more appropriate if you properly blurred them as to help us be driven to the King's mystical presence.

It is kind hard to explain this. It is like this, <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="18" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="108" title="Confused"/>, if you divide this artwork into half. You should notice what I am saying exactly. It is like you have two stories, you do not have one... you do not have complimenting elements to your main story but you have two seperate stories.

Your artwork is listed as <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/e…" width="18" height="15" alt=":eager:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="569" title=":eager: by darkmoon3636"/> "fantasy" whilst yes, some "fantasy" artworks can easily have surrealism in them but if you wanted to do that, you need to contribute more appropriate elements to the piece.

But regardless, your concept is wonderful. Lacking more elements, proper editing (your King's body, is quite jagged) unless you were going for a post-card-ish effect then your artwork is okay.

Oh, do not forget to sharpen areas where sharpening is deemed necessary.
