I wanted to do a more magic than horror/spooky halloween art.
Back to its unamericanised celtic roots. Samhain when the doors to the otherworld are open, when the veils between our worlds are thin.
Where the carved pumpkin... originally a turnip (hope thats the right word) was made to scare off eviul spirits and the light should guide lost souls home.

So here you have a magical place a forest where little kitten got lost after following curiously a Will o Wisp. But after searching scared and lonely for her way home she found the jack o lantern at the entrance of a sidhe hill where Will o Wisps flew arround and glow bugs as far as the eye could see and magic flowers blooming all arround. A friendly fairy flew to the lost kitten with a magic starlight lamp. The fairy guided her to the sidhe queen and short before dawn the little fairy brought the kitten near to its home its mom and siblings.... but it would never be the same... Seeing all that magic and walking in the otherworld changed her soul.... and eyes eternally.
